In 1972, Dr. Dean worked as a Medical Volunteer in Ogbomosho, Nigeria. In 1986, he worked as a Medical Volunteer with the Baptist Mission Group in Belize. In 1987, he made presentations at the All-India Medical Sciences Institute in New Delhi and the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Katmandu.
Dr. Dean has visited University Hospitals and Medical Schools in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, England, Scotland, Switzerland, India, Nepal and Canada.
